We found his Realtor and Property Management practice and thoroughly respected the high quality yet affordable services he provided us. He matched us with faithful tenants and although he did not provide ongoing management services he was always available to take our calls should a question arise.Fast forward to January 2021, we knew we wanted to sell and immediately reached out to Robert who was a dream to work with even though we were thousands of miles apart. He worked with our tenants to have them transition out of the property. He was highly knowledgeable of California pandemic regulations, etc. He helped us through his amazing contacts get great prices on recarpeting & repainting our entire 2700 square foot home among other small repairs. These were handled in less than 2 weeks' time which was incredible because many carpet places have huge backorder schedules because of the pandemic.He had high quality images taken and immediately listed our home at a fantastic price based off the comps and his 30+ years' experience in the industry.Less than a week listed, we were presented with offers and chose the one that was 20k above asking from stellar buyers (a young professional family who would love and grow into the home as much as we did).What I enjoyed the most about working with Robert is his ability to work with differing personalities. I was the anxious first time seller whereas my husband was the easy going experienced seller. Robert was able to calm my anxious/postpartum mind and heart all the while laughing at my husband's goofball jokes.He kept us informed of critical updates while also not wanting to disturb us as we had a newborn and had a 3 hour difference in timezone.If you're seeking an honest, experienced, professional, knowledgeable realtor who truly cares and will do a great job selling your home, you will find that and so much more with Robert. 5+ stars. Robert Matilla, Jessica and Alissa are a professional team (and family) that not only offer their professional expertise but they also bring an element of family and compassion for tenants. That's a hard pressed Quality to find in a leasing/management company anywhere, for regular families and people who just want a place to call home. The first 3 years I had a room mate and Robert's team worked with us on averaging our individual credit and incomes to the owners to qualify us. And THEN they went to bat for me again, when the room mate moved out and then covid hit, and they negotiated an additional one year lease extension for just me and even gave me a break on the monthly rent! WOW! Tell me, who else does that??!! And they did it for me AGAIN, a third time, to go another 5 months agreement, before the owners decided to take the property off the rental market! I'm 63 years old, and have owned a few houses and rented a few, and aside from working directly with a compassionate owner, I have never experienced a management team ANYTHING like what RCP has done for me. They're a Godsent and I cannot thank them all enough, as well the property owner. They respond the same day, they have the ease of a great web portal to transfer your rent from your bank to them and ask for maintenance requests, or review your lease agreement, they'll work with you if you stay on top of things, and I'm sure from a property owner's perspective, they do all this for them as well. RCP is a very unique and rare approach to rental properties and "landlords" for all parties!
